What should I expect during a test drive at a reputable dealership?
Going for my first test drives this weekend and I'm nervous. What's the normal process? Should the salesperson come with me? How long should the drive be? What questions should I ask?

A good dealership will copy your license, hand you keys, and either ride along quietly or let you go solo. Drive should be at least 15-20 minutes covering city AND highway. If they try to limit you to a 5-minute loop around the block, leave. Turn off the radio for 2 minutes to hear the car - any rattles, wind noise, transmission behavior.
Ask about features but don't feel pressured to make conversation. You're evaluating the car, not the salesperson. A talkative salesperson can mask issues.
