Do I really need a full-size truck or is midsize enough?
Debating between Tacoma and Tundra. I don't tow heavy - maybe a small utility trailer once a month. Mostly hardware store runs, mountain bikes, daily commuting. Full-size feels like overkill but midsize isn't much cheaper used.

For your use case, midsize (Tacoma, Frontier, Ridgeline) is absolutely right. Better fuel economy, easier parking, lower running costs. Tacoma holds value well so it's not much cheaper used, but you get it back at resale. The Ridgeline is worth a look - drives like a car, has a trunk in the bed, handles hardware store errands and bike hauling perfectly.
Only go full-size if you need interior space or towing capacity. Since you don't tow heavy or need to seat 5 adults comfortably, midsize is right. Save on gas, tires, and parking hassle.
